Dear Friends, I’ve always been passionate about helping animals and became a donor to ARRI many years before becoming its executive director in 2020. Since then, I've seen every donation create magic, as our work changes the lives of both the pets in our shelter and the families who welcome them home. Thanks to your incredible generosity on Giving Tuesday, we raised more than $28,000 in just one day! That support means so much -- yet the need continues. The cost of caring for pets has risen dramatically, but we remain committed to providing every one of them with the veterinary care, enrichment, and love they deserve.

Joseph, a 16-year-old cat, arrived at ARRI, heartbroken and confused, after losing his lifelong owner. At an age when most pets are well settled into their routines, Joseph found himself alone and in need of a new beginning. Not easy for any pet, especially an elderly one.
But the unexpected happened. Trent, a 29-year-old Coast Guard veteran, walked into our shelter and, breaking all stereotypes, fell in love with this senior cat who is now his constant companion. We’re honored that we had the opportunity to give Joseph a new start in his golden years. |
